Automobile Alley – Oklahoma City’s Original Car Row

We’ve written about Automobile Alley before, including a “then and now” sequence of photos showing the area right after the 1995 bombing of the nearby Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and now that it’s been redeveloped as a thriving mix of urban housing, offices, restaurants and shops. Some cars, most notably Mercedes and Jaguars, are still sold on Broadway. But once upon a time, it was the only place to shop for cars. Thanks to Bob Bekoff, owner and operator of the Bricktown Water Taxis, Oklahoma’s Red Dirt Emporium and the Red Dirt Marketplace, for acquiring this magazine and adding to our collections.
