Until last year the Auto Hotel at 17 N Hudson was a pretty reliable money maker.
The garage was built in 1929 next to the Black Hotel. It was closed down after being bought by Nicholas Preftakes, who to date has bought up much of the surrounding block but has not revealed his plans. The block is across the street from the future 54-story Devon tower.
